Emergency Preparedness: Guides
The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) has prepared
several guides for emergency preparedness. The guides cover such
topics as the steps federal employees and their families should
take to prepare an emergency plan for their workplace and home in
the event of a natural disaster or terrorist attack, your responsibility
at work, general education about different types of threats, and
additional resources and contact numbers To review a guide, simply

Emergency Preparedness: Prescription Drug Coverage
MD-Individual Practice Association, Inc. (M.D. IPA) will give special
consideration to filling prescriptions for members covered under
the Federal Employees Health Benefit Program (FEHBP) if:
- You are called to active duty
- Your are officially called off-site to continue the functions
of government
- You wish to include prescription medications in your family
emergency kit
In order to fill the prescription, your physician may need to request
prior authorization from M.D. IPA. If you need to fill a prescription
for any of the reasons listed above, ask your physician to contact
M.D. IPA to request prior authorization, if applicable.
