MAMSI (NYSE: MME) Receives Award from American Legion Auxiliary

Frederick, MD - Mid Atlantic Medical Services, Inc. (MAMSI) (NYSE: MME), one of the mid-Atlantic region's largest managed care companies, received an award from the American Legion Auxiliary, Saturday, June 10, during the festivities at the Company's annual employee picnic.

The award was presented to MAMSI for its patriotic spirit and commitment to the community. A prominent American flag flies in front of the Company's Frederick offices as a symbol of this commitment. Thomas P. Barbera, CEO and President, accepted the award for MAMSI.

The award was presented by Bonnie Lamson, Americanism Chairman of the Francis Scott Key American Legion Auxiliary Unit # 11. She was accompanied by the Auxiliary's Color Guard and Unit President Dolores Green, First Vice President Delite Fox, and Second Vice President Deborah Cline.
