MAMSI RECEIVES HUMAN RELATIONS AWARD

Rockville, Md. -- Mid Atlantic Medical Services, Inc. (MAMSI), one of the largest managed care companies in the mid-Atlantic region, received the Human Relations Award last night from the Frederick County Human Relations Commission. The award, which was accepted by MAMSI's Chairman of the Board, Dr. Mark D. Groban, was presented to MAMSI for its diverse employee hiring programs and the charitable efforts and contributions of its staff to the community.

"I am honored that you recognized the employees and programs of MAMSI with this prestigious award and I accept it proudly on their behalf," Dr. Groban said at the awards banquet last night. MAMSI, who has offices in Rockville and Frederick, hired over 800 employees from the greater Frederick area since December 1997 when they moved a large part of their operations to Frederick.
